About Me

Hi there! I’m Lorrina, an Australian-born Chinese film student studying a Bachelor of Communication (Media Arts and Production) at the University of Technology Sydney.

I mainly work in the post-production department, specialising in editing, VFX and colour grading. I’m skilled in editing programs such as Premiere Pro, After Effects and Davinci Resolve. I also have experience in cinematography and camera work through personal and student projects as well as videography for client work. One of my first client projects was filming a funeral documentary, which provided an invaluable learning experience. In the future, I aim to expand my role within the industry, aspiring to take on assistant director or producer positions.

Outside of my work, I enjoy watching thrillers, horror or psychological films, which I balance with action movies. I’m eager to work in films within these genres, particularly with storytelling that has suspense and action.

As a filmmaker, my passion lies in directing, producing and editing films that feature Australian Chinese and female representation, both in storytelling and on-screen. I’m passionate about driving change in the industry by increasing this representation, with the ultimate goal of seeing my films reach international audiences.
